Problem Statement
Every day, millions of people around the world have to open jars for various reasons, but for individuals with lesser grip strength, this can be a challenge. The Universal Jar Opener aims to make an everyday task easier with a small kitchen tool.
The jar lids seen in everyday life are difficult for groups with lower grip strengths, such as women, elderly people, or disabled people. Due to this challenge, there is a need for making the jar opening process more accessible to all demographics.

Iteration 1
The first model did not fit well together with the 3D print. Additionally, this handle design made it hard to turn the gear that moved the adjustable sliding pieces.
